Modified option 2. Join a gym, go 3 times a week and do strength training focusing on big compound lifts. Strength training does wonder to women.

I have been strength training since 28, maybe I am taking things for granted but what kind of wonders are you talking about? It’s fun and improves sleep. But it’s certainly not magical and give me unicorns. |
Thirding this. The best exercise is the one you do regularly that means finding something you actually enjoy. If it feels like a chore, you won't sustain it. |
I do a combo of walking, tennis and yoga.
walking - 30 min walk/day to walk my dog, plus a couple of 60 min walks/week with a friend tennis - once a week tennis clinic with a friendly group of women (I wfh on Fridays and do a 9am clinic that day, but could do a Sat one if that didn’t work for my schedule) yoga - once a week (Sun morning, bc kids’ activities tejd to be more on Saturdays), I keep this in for stretching/balance work I like this mix as it combines exercise and social interactions (which destress me even more than the exercise itself), and I wouldn’t say it is strenous or one I can’t manage with my personal and professional commitments. |
