+1 I've seen what my 15 year old and their friends talk about. You wouldn't last 2 minutes.

To clarify, when I say "I love coming on here", "sharing our opinions", and "Post questions a pretty normal amount" I mean that we enjoy these from how easily adults get enraged over the smallest things and how people will be so snarky when they're anonymous. (PP)

You're an old soul, kiddo. Stick around for a few more years and you'll be getting tips on how to raise grandchildren right. This is a heavily Gen-X forum.

If I were still a kid - in all honesty a lot of these forums would have bored me to death.

There are like 10000 other websites that I would frequent over one discussing marital issues or parenting worries.

Is there even a teenager equivalent of DC Urban Moms and Dads?

I think it depends on age, maturity, and intention.

DCUM is sort of an internet relic so the forum style interaction is probably a novelty to them. It's often the best method for crowdsourcing specific topics.

Ours know we both frequent this site, I’m sure they’ve been here. We have warned them that it is a toxic site filled with misinformation. Lol. I think they find it interesting in a “train wreck” sort of way.

They are probably confused by all the words.

They definitely come on here on snow day threads wanting the schools to be closed or complaining that they are open!

There's definitely a handful in the elementary forum. They write like my teen texts.

OP here.

It’s DCUMAD, not just DCUM.

Same on the relationship forum. You end up seeing several comments like "May I ask how old you are?"
