How to know if a headache is serious?

The leg tingling combined with the constant headache = go to doctor.

This is OP, not a troll and yes my doc gave me steroids. I didn’t ask questions about course of treatment or why as I’m not familiar with headaches. I ended up going to ER last night, they did bloodwork, tested for clotting and ct and no findings. Gave me a few migraine medications and said follow up with neurologist if they are consistent.

Weather right now is weird so that may not be helping with the headache. Storms rolling through and that sort of activates things for me.

I get migraines and every once in a while, the meds won’t stop it and I have to go to the neurologist for a nerve block.

I mean I just had a family member diagnosed with glioblastoma who had doctors write off her headaches for weeks. I realize it's rare but I'm frustrated and sad, not that it likely would have changed anything. But hey, speak up, advocate for yourself.

Do you have a rash? Could be Shingles.

What did they say about the tingling?

Was the CT of your head?

Yes, CT was of head. They said tingling may be nerve related. I also just started my period a few days early, not sure what’s going on. I do feel relief now based on whatever they gave me in ER. Have yet to take the other meds prescribed as I just picked them up.

Glad to hear it! Hope you have continued improvement.

You may want to get an appt with a neuro anyhow, there can be very long waitlists, so in case you need it later.

How old is she? Unfortunately, it wouldn’t have changed anything but it’s terrible not to be taken seriously.
