My dd came home more fourth year, mostly because she had interviews but also missed the dogs etc.

Are you in Northern Virginia?
Just know - it’s not a long drive. If our first year was going through something, or had an event, we went. All will be well.

I think it’s better to visit them (if they want) than for them to come home. They need to be there.
