My kid is graduating from a very well-regarded university soon with just under a 3.0. He had a 3.6 and 3.7 in a fairly tough major his two semesters senior year and is just having a lot of regret that his hardest semesters were his best--and wishing he could stay to increase his gpa. Though, in his usual form, is still not doing anything to find out if it's even possible. He only started looking for a job in the last few months. Had a couple of second-round interviews that just went radio silent. So yes, OP, it's pretty depressing and worrisome, to be honest. I am confident he'll find something. He's quite intelligent and hard-working, and it's so hard to have to deal with the consequences of a couple of really hard classes and failure to seek help. Anyway, best of luck to you.
