I understand that they would take children from Catholic parochial middle school, but do they have to? Is there a huge advantage from Catholic parochial middle school vs MCPS for getting into a school like Gtown prep or Gonzaga?

St Elizabeth, St Jane, Holy Cross, Holy Redeem.... Does it matter which? Do you just need to be the top candidate or two from those schools and you'll get in to Prep, Gonzaga?

MCPS quality is lower than expected so really starting to focus on this for my kids who are in the early years of elementary school.

No MCPS quality is not lower than any Catholic school in the area.

But MCPS went very non-MAGA (see Mahmoud v Taylor) and the quality of education is not great... Not challenging... Not rigorous... Revert to the mean... Teach to the standardized tests ..focus on the dummies who will bag groceries and forget the achievers.... Bc it's "equitable"

Oh? What is education? MCPS is joke. Esp for above avg to high achieving kids. It's a great playdate and babysitting for everyone else I guess

I know there is large number of maga families there and JD Vance toured the school and would have been let in if he was willing to hold his son back, like they do with every boy at MD, but he didn’t want to so headed to the next major maga school of little flower.

Vance’s son is not going to Little Flower. Think a bit more about Catholic boys schools and one is an exact fit. Not going to name the school for the child’s sake.

Sounds like you all are jealous of the MAGA bc they win. Yes their policies suck, but self righteous Ds can learn how to win (go woke and go broke). Maybe they should go to school with the MAGA kids at MD so they can learn from within. Kavanaugh went to MD
