Maybe because it's none of your business where he's going. If the school is confirming to you that he's leaving, what else do you think they owe you? A memo on the reasons he left and what's next for his personal career?

Don't be sad. I'm sure there are plenty of graduating 8th graders this year who are old enough to be hired as the new headmaster for next year to make sure the transition is smooth

I think it’s totally reasonable to wonder where the head of a school is heading next. Everyone’s crazy reactions to this question are nuts. Seems like there is something to hid if you all are getting that cagey over a perfectly normal question.

So is confirmed that Billy McM is in fact leaving? Will Dugan replace? I heard a well regarded 4th grade teacher may be retiring? Are the wheels falling off the bus at MD?

I heard there are four or five teachers leaving from current parent, which is unheard of, not sure if something is happening or people are just moving on.

Wow that is a lot of turnover for a school that small... Not a good sign. Wonder what's happening there.

Guess I should consider other private schools for middle school years. Besides Mater Dei, where should I look for middle school that increase chance for Gtown Prep or Gonzaga high?

You have better chance at one of the smaller parochial schools. There is less competition and the high schools have to take a certain number from the schools. The larger parochial schools have a lot of competition as does MD.
