I’ve had several Tahoes and Suburbans as a govt fleet vehicle. No real complaints about any of them EXCEPT the LS86(?) series 6.2L V8 which I’m convinced has casting flaws in the crankshaft. I’ve probably put a million miles on various Tahoes and Suburbans altogether. These were fleet vehicles. They got regular service with by the book maintenance, BUT we abused the **** out of them. Drove them extremely hard as you’d expect govt types to do.
That being said, I think the previous-generation Toyota Sequoia 5.7 V8 is a MUCH better vehicle. Not the current Sequoia though. The previous generation. |

I love how the people who trash Tahoes the most in this thread haven’t owned one.
Yet they’re experts. Typical DCUM |
| Chevy/GM and Chrysler/RAM aren't super reliable. Ford would be more reliable than either. Toyota would be more reliable than Ford and T now makes large SUVs (not just small ones). |
| Have you looked at the GX 550, Land Cruiser, or Sequoia? Escalade? |
IME, Ford is very longlasting. Check out Expedition, Explorer, Navigator. |
. Pre 2024 sequoia is a good car. Lexus lx is also decent size and nice ride. |
Escalade is essentially the same thing OP, I have a 2021 Yukon and haven’t had any issues. It is BIG and sometimes I wish I had a smaller vehicle. |
| I'd probably get an Expedition over a Tahoe. Or an Explorer. |
