RFK Jr Swims in Rock Creek That Flows With Sewage and Bacteria

How do his kids trust him with their children? At some point, this goes beyond "the usual Kennedy risk-taking" and starts to be endangerment.

He seems to say in his Insta post that his grandkids are named Bobcat and Cassius. Maybe Bobcat is a nickname. But not the sign of your typical parents.

Why are we worried? He volunteered himself and his family for an experiment. We can conduct a study wit n+2.

I hope they all get sick

It was the latest in a series of peculiar incidents related to Mr. Kennedy’s outdoorsman persona. As a teen in the 1970s, Mr. Kennedy earned a reputation as a reckless adventurer, eating bushmeat and enduring disease on trips to South America and on African safaris. He later earned notoriety for his handling of the carcasses of dead animals — including a whale and a baby bear.

Mr. Kennedy has also said that a parasitic worm had “got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died.”

That can happen anywhere that people have tapeworms and don't THROUGHLY wash their hands after defecating.

The eggs stick under the finger nails and then presto, into the food they handle and is eaten by others.

Just one of the many reasons I never eat at places where I don't know the cooks.

Lol! How do you manage this? Do you never leave home, only ever eat your own packed food, or travel with personal chefs? Fascinated by this lifestyle.

I was surprised to see this was a scandal because I often times see kids playing in the creek.

I guess RFK is “doing his own research” which his grandkids as the subjects.

Reminded me of Kramer swimming in the East River.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about our combined sewer system, our world class water treatment facility, and our Watershed Implementation Plan!

Also stupid. That area of rock creek is behind Dumbarton oaks near montrose park. When my kids were young we often walked the path along the creek and managed to know not to wade in it.

+1. Some kids swallow Tide pods for fun. Doesn’t mean it’s healthy. Sad that RFK continues to set a bad example for public health behavior.

How gross.

But, why do we accept the fact that our waterways are so polluted that we shouldn’t touch them.

Maybe RFK Jr will do that next to cleanse the bacteria from his swim.

I agree, but I think a lot of people don’t know that the Creek water is dirty and unhealthy.
