Read the paper, watch the news, read about Dark Gothic MAGA, Peter Thiel, etc. Not going to do the work for you. |
I’m against generational blame and warring, but damn if I’m not disappointed in my own GenX for being more MAGA than any of the others. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how so many sadly turned into haters and traitors, when we were independent, free thinkers, who just wanted to be left alone from overreach. |
+1 So tired of the “proof of this?” weasel debate tactic. It’s lazy. Defunding education, hobbling science, gutting the FDA, and blindly slapping tariffs on everything with no plan to replace them with something better is, in fact, burning the future. It’s underpants gnome governance: Step 1: Remove/destroy a functioning program intended to help people Step 2: ?? Step 3: Profit! |
I’m older Gen X, and also disappointed in my generation. In the 80s, so many movies and TV shows had a teenage male hero who wanted to go to an Ivy League college and make a killing on Wall Street (Ferris Bueller, Risky Business, Family Ties, etc.) That was the model being held up for us. Hippies were out, greed was in. Kids walked around with popped collars and Vuarnet sunglasses praising Reagan. Those are the people now voting MAGA. |
My favorite generation fact is that babies born in 2025 to 2039 will be Gen Beta.
A fun thing to do to piss off MAGAs is to comment "Congratulations on your new, beautiful Beta Boy!" when I see a birth announcement. I informed my MAGA cousin during Easter that he didn't need to worry about raising a "gen alpha p***y" that he was whining about because when he and his wife have a kid, it will be a Gen Beta. He lost it. "Grok, when does generation Beta start?" "Grok, if a kid is born in 2026, will it be a Beta?" He did not like Grok's answers, which also delights me endlessly. |

I’m a younger gen x and all I can think is these people are thinking that “Hoggish Greedly” was one of the good guys in Captain Planet. I had to google the name but at least it fits. ![]() |
Im a baby Genx and i’ll be 46 next week. You’ve got your generations wrong Vlad. |
Nah that's not fun and you're a POS. |
Boomers are the ones pushing all of this misremembered '50s nostalgia, they lived well, are retired and have pulled up the ladder behind them and now they want everything that made America great burned down.
Were there parts of the '50s that were great? Yes - back then, hundreds of thousands of Americans enjoyed received a free college education, there was a 90% marginal tax rate on the wealthiest, the workforce was much more widely unionized and Americans could buy a home and raise a family off of a single union job. NOW those are the very things the MAGA boomers want to destroy and make go away. |
By offering “the Fork,” and VERA, the DOGE is opening committing ageism, which is every bit as hateful and destructive as racism. |
What’s wrong with the term generation beta? |

Even the deeply weird Curtis Yarvin is now anti-DOGE. And DOGE was essentially his idea.
Billionaire tech bros love his half-baked ideas about neo-monarchy and historical revisionism that slavery was good for people while they doom prep their bunkers for "the event." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/05/08/curtis-yarvin-doge-musk-thiel/ |
No OP, Gen X is also getting laid off / screwed over in this.
It's more like entitled jerk Gen Z against everyone else, including their own generation. |
