A congressional report released yesterday slams the FBI investigation following the 2017 shootings of several republican members of the Congressional Baseball Team by James Hodgekinson, a registered Democrat and campaign volunteer who sometimes worked on behalf of Senator Bernie Sanders (Soc., VT).
The report concluded the shooting was a “suicide by cop” rather than an attempt to murder GOP members of Congress, despite the fact that Hodgekinson had a “hit list” with names of prominent Republicans in his pocket when his body was recovered from the ball field in Alexandria, VA where he shot 6 members of the team including now Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
