| Wegmans cakes are great! I prefer their whipped cream frosting to buttercream, but I could just be low class. |
We got one last year for a party and was surprised at how good it was. |
Agree! I mean, any grocery store sheet cake is garbage, no matter which frosting option you pick. But at least the whipped one isn’t all gritty like the buttercream version. But let’s not pretend either is classy. They are both shortening/palm oil garbage. Neither frosting uses real butter or real whipped cream. |
I have some platinum tastes but I have to say, a Costco or grocery store sheet cake with fully artificial frosting is one of my greatest joys! Second only to the frosted skillet cookies. Mmmmmmm |
I feel the same! |
As do I !!! |
| My children like chocolate grocery store sheet cakes with raspberry or strawberry filling. I pretty much always do raspberry because a friend of one DD is allergic to strawberry. Recently a neighbor gave us some left over Costco sheet cake and it was delicious. This year through a school raffle I won a fancy cake from a bakery. I used it to have an amazing cake for my 8 year okd’s bday. But it had so much fondant and no one liked that. The sheet cakes or cakes I bake at home are way more popular. |
