He knows. He just doesn’t know if they’ll let him get away with it. Again. |
Miller doesn’t serve the president—he handles him. I thought Trump was strong? Look up White House “May the 4th be with you” social posts today. Trump with huge 💪 . Beyond parody. |
I fact checked this because I assumed that Miller HAD been confirmed by the Senate. But apparently he hasn’t been. Still, it’s quite likely that he would have been confirmed had he gone through the confirmation process. This MAGA-led Congress rubber stamps pretty much everything Trump wants. “Stephen Miller was appointed as White House deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security advisor in President Donald Trump’s administration, roles that do not require Senate confirmation. Therefore, he was not subject to a Senate confirmation process for these positions.” |
Maybe Trump should read that original copy of the Declaration of Independence he made the National Archives put on the wall of the Oval Office.
Among the complaints enumerated against the King: For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury: For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences I'm so tired of these phony patriots who have no clue about or interest in the foundational values of our country. |
I’ve accepted that we now live under an authoritarian govt. The Constitution is meaningless right now until we can get rid of the MAGA regime. How and when we’ll do that is another question. |
Sounds like migrants will need to declare their independence from the US! |
Due Process can mean MANY things. It doesn’t mean a full criminal trial. It does mean being able to be heard, present evidence or rebut any evidence against you as well a being able to obtain legal counsel. “ While there is no definitive list of the "required procedures" that due process requires, Judge Henry Friendly generated a list that remains highly influential, as to both content and relative priority: An unbiased tribunal. Notice of the proposed action and the grounds asserted for it. Opportunity to present reasons why the proposed action should not be taken. The right to present evidence, including the right to call witnesses. The right to know opposing evidence. The right to cross-examine adverse witnesses. A decision based exclusively on the evidence presented. Opportunity to be represented by counsel. Requirement that the tribunal prepare a record of the evidence presented. Requirement that the tribunal prepare written findings of fact and reasons for its decision. This is not a list of procedures which are required to prove due process, but rather a list of the kinds of procedures that might be claimed in a "due process" argument, roughly in order of their perceived importance.” https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/due_process |
Civil servants swear an oath to uphold the constitution when they start working. The president swears that oath when he takes office - was Trump crossing his fingers when he swore that oath? Did he just forget? |
So all of those times the right was spouting against communism, authoritarianism and wrapping themselves in the Constitution were just plain old lyin' and gaslightin' |
The good Papist did NOT put his hand on the Bible when he took that oath . . . |
and then there are the things what were edited out for the broadcast...

So I'm going to argue that you can care about Biden's mental decline and also care about Trump's refusal to support the US Constitution. I think Trump has some cognitive issues, but more related to his mental illness versus mental competence. i think it's a mistake to conflate the two. He's not a lunatic. He's a megalomaniac and a narcissist. And a wannabe dictator. |
I think it’s hilarious that he has a copy hanging up and has clearly NEVER read it and has no idea how many of the grievances he’s resurrected |
100% this |
I hope you are right |
