How bad is this Connection at LAX?

Anonymous
I made this exact trip last winter (coming from Taipei on EVA) and we did not make the connection from LAX to Dulles. They do have a bag drop after customs, but unless you're priority, the luggage could take forever to come off the plane. The walk to the next terminal was long but what actually caused us to miss the connection was the security line.

Just plan on missing the connection or rebook on Delta (if you are indeed coming from Taipei). The transfers in Seattle have more of a time cushion.

Thanks for sharing, so the T7 TSA pre-check line is long at 10:30pm ?!
Did United rebook you for the next morning? Did they take care of hotel?

DP. How does one even book a combination of UA and EVA flights? Last time we tried, EVA web site was using Alaska for LAX to IAD.

EVA is a Star Alliance member with United. They also have a separate partnership with Alaska. If you search their site from IAD they offer connecting options with both- through LAX, SFO or Seattle.
