Op here and this is what I'm thinking as well. Plus it's more expensive than other possibilities.

I don't understand the more expensive part. Youcan stay at any of the chain hotels off 50. You will be 10-15 min away. I don't know what you expect to find cheaper than that.

Why not just do Annapolis. At least you can walk around for 30 minutes before you have seen everything, instead of 10.
