Asking parents to deny their kid a starting point in travel soccer?

I’d take Valor 2nd team, definitely not 4th team anywhere

Have you seen the 200 page thread of Valor complaints?

4th team Loudoun plays 2nd team valor normally. You have more upward mobility at Loudoun so take that offer.

Valor didn't hire coaches for any of their 2nd teams yet. No clue on Loudoun.

Seriously OP these are two terrible choices. What birth year and where do you live? We will find you some better tryouts to go to.

Valor didn’t announce all of their coaches. Probably so they can hide which teams have vacancies. But they actually do have coaches for most (if not all) their second teams. It’s their third or lower teams that they haven’t filled

They have only announced first team coaches. Until its public information, its not real.

Seriously take her to some more tryouts.

Agree with option 3. If not, take the 2nd team offer. You have a better chance of moving to the first team. If you go to LS, your kid will get lost on the 4th team.

My kid was on a 5th team first year of travel and developed way more that she would have by staying in rec. Also got moved up the next year to 3rd

So? Loudoun has the same, and you will never move out of a 4th team

Many have moved up from even fifth teams, I know a girl on top team who started fifth out of rec joining travel soccer in elementary school through Loudoun Soccer.
