| My dc is most likely getting an offer from these 2 teams. We have not decided which one to pick. Any suggestions? |
|
Option 3.
Seriously take her to some more tryouts. |
|
They aren't close by to each other so one will
Be a lot more driving. Take her to some more tryouts. Fourth team at Loudoun gets ignored and Valor is a cesspool. |
| My dc got 2nd team Loudoun and 4th team valor. Go figure |
Want us to tell you what's best for your DC and you? |
😂 |
| Depends on who the coaches are for the teams. |
Valor didn't hire coaches for any of their 2nd teams yet. No clue on Loudoun. Seriously OP these are two terrible choices. What birth year and where do you live? We will find you some better tryouts to go to. |
| Yeah. Give us some more information. I would imagine someone here would have a couple of ideas. |
|
If those were really the only two options, it would be another season of rec and some skills training
But, there are a ton of orgs around here so you can find some better options. What gender/age group? |
| Save your money. Have them play rec or with friends. If your kid is on a 4th level team, that's rec. I don't care how big the club is. |
Valor didn’t announce all of their coaches. Probably so they can hide which teams have vacancies. But they actually do have coaches for most (if not all) their second teams. It’s their third or lower teams that they haven’t filled |
Asking parents to deny their kid a starting point in travel soccer? |
I’d take Valor 2nd team, definitely not 4th team anywhere |
Yes, it's not worth the money, time, and stress to do travel soccer at a rec level. You're paying for the "prestige" of saying your kid plays travel. Just have fun with the game. The only exception would be if you have others telling you that your kid has potential. Often these clubs cannot identify talent. After the 5th one, maybe it's your kid. |
