Posters are so rude. OP’s MIL is obviously a senior citizen and there was some kind of miscommunication at the DMV where she was given to understand that she didn’t need Read ID. OP was not there and isn’t responsible for that gaffe. OP is looking for suggestions to help her MIL during a stressful, sad time. Your misplaced judgment doesn’t help her achieve her objective.
