Not everyone has a car. |

I never had those delivery apps. If we get food to go, we pick up.
I work at a school where some teachers order food to be delivered to the school several times a week. For me it’s just too expensive and I’m (sadly) almost always dieting and can’t afford restaurant calories. |
|
I have never used door dash, uber eats, etc.
I used to order pizza delivery that was direct from the restaurant, but haven't in years. |
| Didn't use delivery during COVID. Don't use it now. |
| We don’t have a car. We do a pick up from some local place once or twice a month. UberEats/ DoorDash - a few times a year, if sick or want to order from a specific place farther away. But I find that most food that I like doesn’t travel too well, so there are only a few things that I would consider for 20+ minutes delivery. |
| Was too expensive then, is too expensive now. HHI $600k. Don’t eat takeout much, but I can pick it up when I do. |
| Never. It’s gotten obscenely overpriced. We go out to eat or get takeout about once a week but delivery is unjustifiable at this point. |
| Never. |
|
I’m trying to limit takeout/delivery to once a week and buying lunch at work no more than once a week.
If it’s reasonable to do it, I pick up myself to avoid delivery fees. Last night we got food delivered, because the restaurant has no parking, and there is never street parking available near it on a Saturday night (and a parking garage would cost much more than the delivery fee.) Occasionally we’ll go out to eat instead of takeout, but one of my kids much prefers to eat at home, and I prefer to not pay for drinks, etc so it’s infrequent. |

3-4x week
|
| Depends, but as much as 3x a week. We live in the city and don’t have a car and delivery GREATLY expands our options. We found some new favorites during Covid that, even if we had a car, would be worth the 15 dollars in fees to just have delivered. Like my favorite Thai is in Rockville, fighting DC traffic to get out there and back would be annoying but I'm happy to pay the fee. |
| Only after I had a major surgery |
+100 Never haven't eaten out since feb 2020 or used any carry out or delivery. We're so much healthier. |
|
We order takeout maybe once a month and 9 times out of 10 it's pizza ordered directly from the pizzeria that doesn't charge for delivery so all I need to do is tip the driver.
We live in NY right off a main avenue that has Chipotle, burger king, mcdonalds, taco bell, dd, starbucks, carvel, sushi, Chinese, halel, pizza and a few others all within 5 blocks so we can just walk and get food. |
