God, this thread has quickly proven OP’s point. |
Speaking of “sympathetic victims”… America under Trump—a land where convicted insurrectionists are pardoned and let out of jail and breast-feeding mothers married to US citizens who are in the process of legalizing their status are ejected from the country. |
Why didn’t the husband go with her? Doesn’t he love her? Doesn’t he want to keep his family together? Marriage of convenience. |
Since when can Cubans enter the country illegally? |
Do you know anything about Cuba? There is a severe food shortage right now. I know people who send monthly packages of food and basic household items because they are either too expensive or hard to find in Cuba. |
look, if Democrats had advocated for policies that US voters want, none of this would be happening. |
Liar. They voted for a bipartisan immigration bill that Trump told the GOP to tank when he was running for a second term. |
idiot As usual, the globalists at DCUM completely ignored HR2. H.R. 2 includes a laundry list of essential immigration reforms long fought for by immigration experts; * Plugging loopholes in the asylum system that are currently being exploited by economic migrants by raising the bar for “credible fear” claims and denying entry to aliens claiming asylum at the border who have passed through a safe third country on their way to the United States and failed to apply in that safe country; * Blocking the administration from continuing its catch-and-release policy by making most illegal aliens ineligible for parole or release from custody other than to be returned to their home country or to a contiguous country to await the adjudication of their asylum claim there (Remain in Mexico);. * Preventing family units who cross the border illegally from being released into the United States by requiring family units apprehended at the border to be detained, protecting them from exploitation and victimization by the cartels and traffickers; * Reining in the breathtaking and illegal abuse of parole that this administration has been using to create its own immigration system outside of the confines of the Immigration and Nationality Act; and * Installing teeth into efforts to deter visa overstays. Perhaps most importantly, the bill would require employers to check the legal status of new hires through the free, easy-to-use E-Verify system. By making it much harder for illegal aliens to find jobs, the reform would deter would-be migrants from ever journeying to the United States. and yet Democrats have shown they are not serious about controlling immigration, and it seems that increasing immigration is a policy choice by Democrats/WAPO. |
This thread is ironic in light of the other thread on the two-year-old who was "deported."
So, it's cruel to make this woman leave her U.S. citizen baby behind in the U.S., but it's also cruel to allow the other mom to take her US citizen daughter with her out of the U.S.? What exactly do you people want ICE to do with minor U.S. children of deported adults? Or are you just making a big deal because it's Trump's administration and your job is to complain no matter what? |
You nailed it! I’m independent and the outrage from Democrats is exhausting. Republicans don’t act like this. Why? |
Because they lack empathy. |
I'm the PP who posted about the irony of responses here. So, what do you think anybody calls her? Do we rip U.S.-born children from deported parents or do we let the parents take their U.S. citizen children with them? |
^^Meant to write "what do you think empathy calls for here?" |
Let everyone stay of course. |
Who are you even talking about? She is not illegal. |
