Being that wealthy at that age and never married no kids is a big red flag to me. I am not a woman, but as woman a man who is 48 has no kids never been married would give me pause.

So the pope would give you pause?

If the pope is on OLD...yes. Red flag for dating!

Are you proposing she date the pope? I mean even before he was dead that would have been a questionable choice.

Or why is SHE on tinder or whatever lol

Dating in the US sucks, even for rich people. Americans are cold and women generally don't like being approached by men. I mean, there are even rock stars on Tinder, so this is just kind of where our society is at. Now in some other countries, I wouldn't waste my time OLD.

That’s a lot of drinks. Someone who is really social and rich and “connected” may have the kind of outgoing personality that makes drinking part of who they are or why they are successful. But you have to decide if he was not rich and maybe working class making $100k/year. Would 3 beers seem excessive in that situation?

It’s possible it’s too much regardless, and it’s possible that he’s just never encountered any friction (social censure, unfixable consequences, irreversible health impact) from drinking that would stop that habit because he’s insulated from consequences.

Someone who is so privileged or indulged by the people around him that 3 beers before going out has never had a negative impact on his life is not someone I’d want to be with beyond age 25.

That's quite a lot to be drinking at that age.

+1. The problem is you hit kind of a tipping point at that age IME, and things can deteriorate rapidly.

Proceeds to have three or four more drinks at whatever event we are at.

I met him OLD and I'm not really a drinker. I'll have 6 months where I have zero drinks and then 2 months where I have maybe 10 drinks a month.

I like him but this worrys me

Why do you know his income this early in dating.

Is 100k a year really working class?

Recovering alcoholic here. Three drinks before going out was my norm. Functional alcoholism is real. But at this age it begins to escalate. OP: Run.

He’s an alcoholic

How big is this guy?
How spaced out are these drinks (six per hour vs six in five hours)?

I don’t drink much any more but when I did, six beers in an evening was no big deal.

That's definitely a red flag. That's a lot of drinks to have before the night has even started.

Six beers in an evening is not normal never mind not healthy.

Just the calories alone. A pretty standard beer we're talking 600 - 1000 calories. More depending on the type of beer.
