State VERA?

If you think your office in State is likely to be closed, and you are DSR eligible and expecting to be RIFed at some point, is the only benefit to taking the VERA now that you could get also take DRP and be paid through Sept. 30? Not sure why someone wouldn't wait and see if they are actually RIFed and/or offered another position within State.

For me, I’m unlikely to be RIF’ed. But I am eligible for VERA. I’m in my young 50s so if I want to retire with full health insurance benefits my choice may be to accept the Fork 2.0 or work another decade until I can retire with full benefits. I’m sure there are others like me.
