What happened to Boden?

I agree. I have some great workwear from Boden from around 2017-18, but I don’t even bother looking anymore, I know I’ll be disappointed.

Still wear what I have, but I expect to be 90%+ natural fibers within ten years. It an expensive process to switch over, and there are a few things I don’t want to buy in natural fibers, such as bras and swimwear.

A lot of Boden dresses are 100% natural fabrics, especially cotton (or even linen) dresses for the summer.

Thanks PP! I also wear basically only cotton and have been disappointed that so much of their recent stuff is viscose.

I did buy a couple of blazers there this winter, and they are made and cut very well. They’re definitely better than the blazers I had purchased a few years ago. I’ve also had good luck recently with some of their shoes for work. I hate jersey so wish they’d stop making so many of their dresses and tops out of it.

I just got a navy lien suit and it’s fabulous and the price was great.

Agree and the quality has gone down. Last year, I bought a similar casual summer dress I bought 10 years ago and the material is so thin you can see through it. I use it as a beach coverup.

Boden used to be happy and fun colors and patterns. Now it’s sad and dark. I miss old Boden!

I used to get more for work clothes but they have been adding too many jersey dresses and bad prints (paisley?!)

Your welcome! That have a store in Tyson’s now that brings their entire collection. They are also at Bloomingdale’s. Their dresses are my favorite.

When will the Little House on the Prairie dresses go away? The small prints + tiered skirts + puffy sleeves = NO WAY!

As someone with narrow shoulders who is very petite, it would be great if the huge puffy sleeves (that dwarf my face) and tiered skirts (that make me look like I'm playing dress-up in adult clothes even though my face is aging rapidly) would disappear. Or at least stop being the only thing sold.

I love the long tiered skirts. They look fabulous on me. So glad they’re in currently.

Go to Ebay. Lots of the old stuff sold on there. And it's held up well since it was really good quality.

The jersey dresses are wash and hang dry and the prints hide crumbs and any wrinkles. I like that they are form fitting at the waist and feminine. It's a nice way to look reasonably polished while wearing something as comfortable as athleisure.

I agree with this description, which is why Boden has never worked for me (although I used to love the aesthetic)- I carry my extra weight in my belly, so the fitted waists are tough for me and then the rest of the dress would be oversized and boxy. I come from Hungrian peasant stock - we obviously aren’t built like the Brits 😂.

I am fairly tall and lean, but I am older and these dresses look very young to me.

Those tiered skirts look great on the tall, but I don't think they do the lean any favors.
