Different backgrounds

The rich ones were always more spoiled and bratty and couldn't socialize as well.

Our parents are similar educated, but, different religions, from different/opposite parts of the country, different temperaments, different in about every way you could imagine. But, both raised good kids who value education and family.

The only time they were ever together were a meet the in-laws dinner once we got engaged, the wedding weekend, and after each child was born. I was good with that

True, but I was poor with nothing to lose and a lot to gain. The risk taking paid off and continues to pay off. I skipped middle class though.
