Why do people send photos of the flowers you send?

This. To confirm they are correct.

Flowers are diff than chocolates because they vary so much. I actually have a story about this. I ordered flowers for a sick co-worker, I don’t recall the exact amt but we usually spend $150 or so. She sent a picture thanking us and I was APPALLED at the bouquet. It looked like a $10 grocery store bouquet! I complained to their head office, they wanted to send another one (from a diff location) to make up for it, and I said that was fine. I later found out that the original florist went back to the sick co-workers house and demanded the flowers back!! I was appalled at that too!! I just checked their Google reviews and the first one that pops up is the same thing (lack of quality for price). I left them a scathing review on Google, but it was like 6 yrs ago. I’m still pissed about it, and pissed for my coworker who had to deal with those AHs.

Most of online or phone in orders are sight unseen. Sure, the website's pictures look great, but in reality the flower arrangements are not the same as the pictures. It would be nice to know the look of the arrangements for future order (of the same flower shop).

i think it is a good idea, because, often, ordered flowers do not look anything like the bouquet you ordered and paid for.

Name and Shame! Especially a local to DCUM florist!
That's horrible that they demanded the flowers back. From a sick person.

It’s not local, otherwise I 100% would lol. But you prob have no interest in some smallish Canadian town craptasticular florist 😂

But seriously, they even knew it was for a sick person, they wrote the note! Ugh I’m still so mad lol.

It's totally unrealistic to recreate online photos because of seasons and flower availability. That's just a general idea, generally.

So you know they delivered what you paid for probably?

Because it is the normal thing to do.

Do you expect the same with chocolates, a candle, perfume, a sweater?

sweater, maybe. It's a visual thing. Until we can text a smell or taste, I suspect the others won't get the same experience.

Someone sent me flowers. The item delivered was literally from the grocery store. If I didn't send a picture they would not have known to request a refund.

So you can see how nice they look? Or dead they look!

Sometimes I get the Seasonal one or Mystery one so I like to know what flowers and colors came!! Duh.

What prompted you to ask this question, OP? Seems like the answer is obvious.
