Why do people send photos of the flowers you send?

So weird. Just text or call to say thanks.

Because we assume you didn’t see them and would enjoy knowing what your gift looks like in person.

I like to see how the arrangement turned out for future reference, fwiw

Proof of life. Also they think they're pretty and took a picture.

So you can see how pretty they are. Isn’t that obvious?

I sent flowers to my mom a few years ago—the only time I ever did that—and she didn’t send a picture. I have no idea what they looked like or if they were worth the money.

I think is thoughtful. Sometimes florists are such scammers. I paid got a rose bouquet for my mother and they sent her daisies. I'm so glad she sent me a picture. Otherwise I'd never know

So you know they looked ok.

Not weird at all. As a matter of fact, I appreciate it because it helps me to have an idea if the florist did a good job or not. Once I paid for a flower basket for someone and it was child like. I was embarrassed and happy to no not to every use them again.

Do you expect the same with chocolates, a candle, perfume, a sweater?

Me, too.

Sometimes they look very different from the picture presented when you bought them. Not necessarily worse, but different. Good info to have.

All of those things you can see when you order them.

Same.

I can see if it was worth what I paid, they have no idea.

But usually yes I send a picture of me wearing the jewelry or the sweater.

I think you lack world experience (and or don’t really care if you sent nice flowers, you were checking a box).
