If it's hyperthyroidism, then definitely better safe than sorry OP. If you wait, it could be worse.

I'm thinking you are just eating like a bird though. Look up symptoms of hyperthyroidism, and if you don't have them, then eat more calorie dense foods like fatty meats, cream, butter, etc.

It runs in my family but don't have the symptoms.

OP: But despite any issues, there must still be ways to gain faster.

You only gain fat fast. Muscle takes more time.

Did you stop taking birth control or something? Do you eat healthy or a lot of junk? Would you gain weight if you gorged yourself for a week? I was like that at 24 at your height though maybe 10 lbs. less. I'm 50 now at 129. I just keep a very steady weight overall.

Go to the doctor. This could be the sign of a very serious disease. At 24 unlikely, but better safe than sorry

Never took BC. Used to eat once a day but now eat more, mostly carbs and snacks though. I would probably gain 1-2lbs after a week of overeating but would have to keep eating that way to maintain it or gain more.

So you want to get fat? Why? That will lead to nothing good in the long run.
