| How many current members of Supreme Court are Midd grads or current US senators or famous Doctors went to Midd answer o. By contrast Holy Cross counts Clarence Thomas, Chief Justice Roberts wife, Anton Scalia’s son. Btw, Senator Welch of Vermont Is a HC grad as is Dr Fauci. Sure Midd has some wall st types but Holy Cross has lots of CEO’s including several women- Jet Blue, Under Armor list is long. |

I think OP needs to tell us how important skiing is. Midd has killington and sugarbush less than an hour away.
Few places mentioned are even half as well situated. |

I think the assertion was that HC Econ does better than Middlebury graduates which is just not true due to the numbers of. I’d grads who go the Banking Consulting route.
I think HC is a great school, tried to get my kid to consider it. Neither Clarence Thomas or a Scalia are something that I would be very proud of at the moment. |

| McGill isn't a bad drive from both the Canadian ski resorts (which are supposed to be really good) and the Vermont ones. It is also cheaper than US schools though it is very big. |

Not Midd or HC but St Lawrence can claim Susan Collins (regardless of your politics, she’s a longstanding senator), Viggo Mortenson, Kirk Douglas, and Martha McCallum. Many CEOs and finance leaders, as well as a well-funded endowment. SLU doesn’t get enough love on this board and it’s normally not worth the fight to go up against the Ivy/UVA/Catholic/NESCAC conglomerate here on DCUM; but, since it’s already on OP’s list, it’s worth letting them know it’s a more than viable alternative. |

Scalia went to Xavier HS back in the days when you could only really go to a catholic college for undergrad. Also true for Regis HS where Fauci went. Regis grads were only allowed to apply to catholic colleges this is not true today. |

My Midd class of 450 produced 2 SCOTUS clerks. Lots of CEO alumni. Midd grads are currently leading Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. |
