Where do I sell an older car?

I would say avoid the fleasers from CarMax and those other shops and sell it to me or posted on nextdoor for your neighbors.

How do I sell it? Could go on Marketplace, but no way do I want to sit in the car with a stranger so they can take it on a test drive.

Meet them at local police station, you hold onto their keys and vehicle while they test drive it. Ask for a DL if you want, but that might be considered a breach of personal data. Could ask them to leave their DL at the police station desk though while they take the car out.

Please don’t ask the police station desk to do this. It’s not their job.

Lots of police stations specifically tell you to do your in-person meetups for online trades at the police station.

There's no reason not to ask, if it's not something they offer then they'll say no. No harm no foul.

I used to buy and sell things on-line. If meeting in person I picked and office building lobby with Armed guards and cameras. The Lobby is open to public. The bank lobby near house has a armed sheriff in lobby.
