I have this 12lb one as well and like it. I like the pouch for my phone when I’m on a walk. I find it very snug and secure. And I have a petite frame so that’s not always the case for things like this. It can get a little uncomfortable on my shoulder blades because I’m kinda bony there so I don’t have much padding but overall it’s comfortable and I like the extra level of resistance it provides on walks. I would not start with 12 if you’re not already quite fit/muscular or have osteoporosis though. More like 6-8

Agree with all of this - if I walk for 45 mins it does get to be a lot of pressure on my traps. I try to shift it around a bit so that I don’t get a headache.
I got the 12 lbs because I have been regularly lifting weights for years, but if I was just starting out I would get 6-8 as PP mentions. It may not feel like much when you put it on, but it really does build up the tension on your posture muscles so start slow!

DP. I have this vest in 20 lbs. I wear it while walking. But might add to body weight workouts. (I also lift but don’t wear it lifting.)
