Late Admissions

Would not recommend. The chaos around the effort to keep the school open is bonkers. And even if it works, it currently only keeps the school running for three years. That puts anyone starting 9th next year in a position of looking for a new school for senior year, which would suck, or having to transfer again in a year or two. Don’t do it.

Are you a current parent? If not, then don’t make assumptions you can’t back up…there is nothing about the agreement that only keeps the school open for three years.

I would still, despite the chaos of the past month, recommend SSFS to anyone looking for a top notch education and an inclusive community for their child ✌🏻

I'm not a current parent, no. I'm going on the info that is available to people who are not current parents, which was that the school had found an angel donor to fund an additional three years of the school staying open. I know the hope is of course that the school would manage to right itself and stay open past that, but, as far as what is publicly known, for now it has three years. Someone looking for an out-of-cycle admissions for ninth grade starting next year would be better advised to pick a more stable situation. And if SSFS situation is more stable than is publicly known, I would urge the school to make that clear if they want to attract new students.
