What kind of student thrives at UVA?

A real pain to get to from OOS

Don’t wait for RD. EA is better and not binding.

Unless you get $ to attend

Hard disagree. This is the best OOS public for a postgrad East Coast network.

UMD....?

Is there a big percentage difference in admit rates for an unhooked out of stater in terms of ED and EA? Would prefer to EA but if it’s a huge bump to EA that’s good to know.

For OOS, ED admit was 21% this year and EA was 13%.

It is a great place! Very special. Charlottesville is on Amtrak Northeast Direct, so transportation is not hard. Some housing options off-grounds are closer to classes than some of the dorms. Upperclassmen housing is a mess at most schools. Don’t be deterred. At least lob in an EA app. And follow Dean J on Instagram to learn more about the app process etc.

Can you say “ripoff” in French? Now you know what sets it and Michigan apart from all other state schools: they charge private school tuition.

With the huge glut of other UVA grads. You will stand out in DC with a degree from elsewhere

Why do you think other OOS schools don't charge more?
