One can only hope. Due process long ago parted ways with justice. Notice how no one uses that term anymore? The nation chose legalism instead.

In case you don't read much history, the legalists aren't usually the good guys.

Trump with holds Federal money to Maryland due to their immigration laws. No money for infrastructure, emergency services, and Fema.

Nothing new here. How do you think we got a national speed limit or drinking age?

It’s not gang members.

Also if you allow the feds to come into someone else’s house without a warrant, then they can come to your house without a warrant.

Is that okay with you?

I am a U.S. citizen. ICE won't come here

… there was no one left to speak for me.

The Maryland bill should be common sense and non controversial. Federal agents are responsible for enforcing federal laws. Not state or local officials. If ice wants to go somewhere or detain someone, get a judicial warrant. That’s all. Maryland is simply saying ice should do their own jobs and follow the law. It’s totally flabbergasting to me that anyone would find that to be a bad thing.

What is the national speed limit?

Maryland is broke. Let's see how long until they fold on this.

There are too many negatives in there for anyone to understand your actual point

The national speed limit was set at 55mph in 1974 to save fuel. The particular bit of government overreach finally ended in 1995. Twenty years of central planning that failed in every way possible.

The sad part is that I bet you actually believe that.

+1 Never say never with the criminal Trump admin. Trump said he doesn't think he has to follow the Constitution. That should scare the bejeezus out of all of us.

Quite a few Democrats have the same idea.

Agreed. These people hate America and American ideals if they can’t do the bare minimum to follow the law.

Maryland is $2 billion in debt. Montgomery County used to be the richest county in the country and has been getting lapped by Fairfax and Loudoun for 20+ years. It shows the difference between pro growth, competent, moderate Dems and whatever oddballs MoCo has elected for the past several decades. Elections matter.

What do you not understand about the constitution, due process vs dictatorships ?

Clearly you failed history.

There are not citizens in Magadonia their are subjects ruled by the kings wishes.

Last time I checked trumps not king but by 2026 he will be and he will come for you
