Upscale hotels near Rehoboth for couple’s getaway in mid/June

I think you are better off going to the Chesapeake bay; Rehoboth is nice but there is nothing there I would call upscale, especially not in Dewey! Maybe Cape May? Also, are you hoping to kayak in the ocean or the bay? Most of Rehoboth is situated toward the Atlantic, but I’ve see most kayakers on either Delaware bay or Rehoboth bay.
