Upscale hotels near Rehoboth for couple’s getaway in mid/June

Anonymous
I am looking for ideas for a place to stay on the water that would have meals on site, beach access and possibly kayaking. Just the two of us!
Any suggestions if things to do in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach areas woukd be appreciated?

I don’t think rehobeth or Dewey have quite what you’re envisioning.

Upscale and DE are rarely used in the same sentence.

Uh, have you ever been to Rehoboth?

Not what you describe but check out Hotel Rehoboth

I think you'll be disappointed with your choices there. Consider the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Micheals.

Comfort Inn on the Boardwalk in OC

There is no ocean front hotel in Rehobeth. Don't get duped into staying at the "Henlopen Hotel".

You might like the Avenue Inn & Spa - there's a golf cart that the hotel uses to take guests to the beach/boardwalk or Hotel Rehoboth which also has a shuttle to the beach. both are botique type hotels.

There is that horrible victorian one. My advice would be to stay at the Avenue Inn or the Bellmoor. Bellmoor probably more adult friendly. Lots of good restaurants in Rehoboth.

You may also want to check out https://www.rehobothguesthouse.com/ which is more like a bed and breakfast.

As for kayaking... you can do that in the area but no hotel "offers" that.

We went twice to visit vacationing friends. The Avenue Inn was ok. The Bellmoor was better. They have a nice garden. But not 5 stars.

Residence Inn Bethenny is about the best you’ll get.

Bellmoor is your best option, or Boardwalk Plaza if you want to be directly on the beach. Same owners.

Also you should book right away, as inventory goes fast in peak season. If you go the first week of June, you'll find it a lot less crowded as most schools aren't out yet.
