What field of interest? I'm sure you can take rigorous courses at any school. |
I think W&M may be unique in this regard, for the right kid. |
Definitely not W&M. |
Depends on the situation. If you just miss the top public in your own state, and the lower options aren’t good, an OOS option can be a lot more affordable than private. |
| No. Not worth $$$ |
| UVA way overrated |
PP seems to believe that if you have to think about things like “affordability,” your child simply shouldn’t go to college at all. |
| UVA is worth if you’re going pre professional route. Banking, law consulting. Due to top recruitment |
| UVA = all hat no cattle |
| Anyone saying no is a jealous viper in desperate need of attention. |
|
But they don’t have a direct admit to the business school! 50% admit rate is a risk if you want business. Go with a direct admit school. Hopefully, UVA will change their admissions and make business a direct admit from high school like nursing. |
Many states have multiple good public universities. Why pay OOS fees for any college if one has a good in-state option? |
Curious to hear what law firms are recruiting UVA undergrads. |
Nope. I am a double Hoo from in-state. UVa is a fine school, but I would not pay OOS fees for any public university. |
