there is nothing in his policies that will open up trade with other countries or mitigate the hemoraging that is currently taking place. Reality is a thing. There is no precedent for tariffs as a successful economic policy, not one.

I am flabbergasted by the actions he's taken economically. Conceptually, I get what he wants to do, but this is not the way. He's punishing countries and leveraging power to enable the US in a leadership position globally. His strategy to do this he thinks is to piss everyone off and threaten and hurt them enough to make them bend.

He could not be MORE WRONG. And now he has angered everyone and we are completely alone (I guess unless you count Israel?) without allies/friends.

He's made a mockery out of our reputation and economically, set us up for a national depression. This is no joke - what he's done - if he does not pull back on yesterday's announcement - is basically commit us to a national economic suicide.
