How will history look upon the Trump presidencies? Like him or not he completely upended politics as we knew it and has very effectively emasculated the Democrats. Will the MAGA movement endure beyond him and who will be the mantle bearer? |
History will probably look at him like Reagan, plenty of people love him, plenty of people hate him. Biden will probably be a footnote in history like HW Bush. |
He will be viewed as an American Hitler, and I’m sure their will be history classes and museums devoted to documenting the bizarre chain of events that unfolded in the USA to allow such a unsuitable candidate to rise to power. The dismantling of our country will be taught and remembered for centuries. |
Legacy will be worst president ever. |
How the economy and American people fare under a president is usually the measure of your legacy and success. Trump will go down in history as the first American president to intentionally torpedo the markets and plunge us into a recession by taking on a random Trade War against our strongest and closest allies (e.g., Canada) with no provocation.
He is trying to tear down all our institutions and services, including those created by former Republicans. Trump is not a Republican. He's a RINO and a grifter. No way he'll be viewed anywhere near Reagan. Reagan would hate Trump for cozying to Russia and fighting with Canada, Ukraine and Mexico. He'd hate how Trump is muzzling and restricting free speech in universities. |
He'll go down as one of the greatest presidents in the nations history. The bravest to considering every time you turn around there's some left winger trying to murder him or commiting acts of violence against people associated with him.
We need more like Trump and much much less like the left |
I said it four years ago, and I’ll say it again: like with the Nixon Presidency, we will be hearing for decades about all of the shady sh!t he did while president. We found out a lot between 2020-2025 (documents case anyone?) and it will keep coming and coming after 2028.
Time will not benefit his legacy. |
Strongest comment so far. Not that the competition is fierce... |
He reinvigorated Democracy. He reinvigorated the Republican Party. He beat the Bush and Clinton dynasties. He got more votes than any Presidential Candidate in history. He staged the greatest political comeback ever after being censored and arrested. He broke the back of Democratic Party hegemony. He exposed a lot of wasteful and corrupt spending. He shifted the middle and working classes from Democrats to Republicans. He launched the career of two-term President JD Vance. He drove the Democrats crazy. |
Like brown skid marks on old underwear. |
He said out loud what most Americans suspected. The news is fake. For that alone he is historically relevant. He caused the scales to fall from a lot of eyes. |
Lol |
+1 I keep telling my kids they’ll understand what is going on more when they’re older and that their own children and grandchildren will look back at this time in shock. I’m a federal employee so they know things are affecting our government employees and I’m sure the history will feel personal when they look back at this time. There’s no way history looks back favorably once his crazy supporters are finally gone. |
Benedict Arnold, move over. |
If you don't see the mark you are the con. |
