The last my husband would want is to be involved in a clothes budget. The last thing I would want is him being involved.

I don’t even know how much I spend on clothes but it can’t really be equal all the time. Sometimes one will need something extra or another one has a growth spurt. I’d consider it a fair trade, a dress for her and extra help for you.

DP. My husband doesn’t care about clothing, but he sure cares about money. Of course we have a budget.

I give my 10 year old $5 / load of laundry that he runs.

If she doesn't know how to run the machine, she can at least fold and distribute to people's rooms.

If you're trying to get specific things cleaned, you can pay for tasks like vacuuming bedrooms, cleaning a bathroom etc.

I try to aim for $10 / hr

I think beyond everything, you need a better system to get laundry done. Laundry shouldn’t be some big obstacle in your life and certainly not a stressor before a 3 day trip.

In general, $10 an hour for labor is a good amount for younger kids pre16.
