Wonder why the federal government promised to reimburse funds up until a stated date and is now reneging on that promise? It's because Project 2025 is about creating chaos and demolishing government so rich people can be richer. |
| Yep, Trump wants to dismantle the education system, to keep people stupid, so they just blindly let him do what he is doing. |
He's basing this on the fact that the state has reimbursed MCPS. But if the federal government doesn't reimburse the state for this money it will impact everybody. |
| The dc area is very expensive. So even the title 1 funding will affect middle class families. |
+1. Yup. This. It’s the Make Kids Stupid Again administration |

You actually don't have to wonder, because you could read the linked article. The money was meant to be spent through January 2026, which means no one was late, or spending slowly. This is 100% the fault of the Trump Administration reneging on their legal commitments and ignoring the rule of law. I'm sorry that so many kids will be impacted, most particularly kids with special needs. I hope no one who voted for this horror show has a child who relied on in-school services. |
This is terribly sad and will hit the most vulnerable kids in MCPS hard. |
