What car did you buy after you were scared by the tariffs?

We bought a Mazda in December. Traded in a 2012, got 1.9% financing. We knew this was coming! Looked at other SUVs too but they could not match the financing.

Bought a honda crv hybrid, but the tarriffs didn't change my opinion of what car i wanted, just the timing.

I bought a 2025 Corolla hatchback at the end of November - was considering a special order in my preferred color, but fear of tariffs made me leery of the 2-3 month waiting period to get a custom order so I bought a gray one off the lot and it has since grown on me.

Saved over $6k assuming these tariffs go into effect as threatened by our king.

We got a great deal on a new Jeep Grand Cherokee L in November.

As the old saying goes, "If you have to ask about the price, you cannot afford it."

That is a stupid saying and makes no sense. People who care about the price of cars can’t afford one? STFU.

That's something a stupid SAHMommy whose husband gives her money would say.

The Tarrifs on those are going to be insane.

Seriously. Hyundais are going to be the least hurt.

We were already shopping for a car for our 16 year old to drive this summer for their job. Went ahead and bought on 3/31, Subaru solterra. Checked prices online today, price already went up 3k

My Hyundai was made in Korea and shipped here. Even if assembled in US it is based on where parts are made too.

DS is graduating from college in May and we had planned to help him buy a car then. After the election we decided to move up that purchase and do it over winter break. Incentives were also good at the end of December so that was good timing. He chose a Mazda3.

Guess he wont be getting much dates.

Mazda 3 buyers have a median age of 45.

Mazda3 was named "Women's World Car of the Year":
In 2019, the Mazda3 was named the Women's World Car of the Year, this award is based on criteria that women use when buying a car.

It is a very popular car for 45 year old women.
