What car did you buy after you were scared by the tariffs?

Curious what car did everyone buy before the tariffs come to place?

I am buying a Lexus NX (drove my 2008 Corolla into the ground…excited for an upgrade 😂)

If the make or break issue for you is the money difference, then you shouldn't be buying a car at all. Save up more money.

As the old saying goes, "If you have to ask about the price, you cannot afford it."

Lots of people will feel dumb for overpaying when the tariffs don’t last 3 days…

Decided to wait. Upcoming recession will impact new car prices.

It's not the price of the car, but being ripped off by the dealership, incompetence of the salesmen, and spending months to overcome the experience.
I lost count, but there were 11 different mishaps. They pulled someone's else's credit among other things.
The creepiest thing was the finance manager following me months later in a store as they remembered they had seen me before somewhere. And nobody getting up to get the key to my own car, was creepy as heck. They were too busy negotiation I guess.

I’ve been planning to buy a RAV4 for months but supply has been low so hard to bargain. Instead I bought a Honda CRV this weekend and happy to get the low 2 percent financing!

We were already planning to buy but we'll be extra glad we're done if costs go up a lot more. Got a Kia

Bought my teen a brand new Honda CRV. She's going to need a car to get back and forth to work this summer. Knowing I had to get one before June, I figured better to get it sooner than later. I bought two weeks ago, when the talk about tariffs starting to get more serious.

You are a great mom. My dad was cheapskate and my mom is super anxious and can't do anything for self.

I bought a Toyota Crown Signia in February. We were planning on a new car over the summer, so just move it up a few months.

GM must of had record First Quarter Sales. A lot of their really cheap vehicles like Chevy Trailblazer and Trax are foreign made. Tarriffs will kill the cheap foreign car.

They trailblazer last year was the Number One new car purchased by Teen Buyers. It is so cheap that some parents just help kid buy a new car instead of used. With Tarrifs good bye to brand new $24K Small SUVs including Nissan Kicks, Toyota Cros and Hyundai Kona all in that 24K to 26K range.

The KIA Soul not that popular is the cheapest SUV made at just over 21K. Well that option will disappear for young drivers too.

All the cheap ones are foreign made

Yea, doesn't seem to make sense to rush into purchasing now unless you really can't wait (like your car just got totaled and you have no other transport options) given how fickle/incompetent he is on tariffs.

We are in the market for an additional car but looking mostly at used Porsches. Depending on the announcement we may accelerate that purchase.
