Feedback on Tokyo Itinerary

Shibuya is literally just a street intersection. Not sure why you want to see it.

The kids read it in a Wacky Things in the World book and it's close to the hotel. A lot of things we want to see are in pretty close proximity.

Shibuya is more than “just” an intersection. It’s a whole vibrant neighborhood, of which the “scramble” is just one part. Combine it with your Harajuku day and you’re fine.

My kids loved Tokyo Disney. Also went to a baseball game in Tokyo which was a fun experience.

I think they'd love to check out a game! Me too, if only for the concessions.

Think you need to queue for
Imperial garden tours. Check it. No fun standing hours in blazing sun.

Disnwyland is a package deal with Disney Sea, and the kids were very interested in that. They've never been to Disney before

The package is good because you can prebook some rides. Just keep in mind that July is very hot in Japan and the lines at Tokyo Disneyland are intense. People complain of crowds in the US parks but they are nothing in comparison. People don’t bat an eye at a 2 hour line and will line up to enter the park at 5AM.

NP. This wasn't true for me when I went to Tokyo Disney in July 2023. Yes, there was a very long line to get in, but it's super orderly there. I didn't do much planning, but managed to get on 14 rides and attractions for the day with my kids. IMO, Tokyo Disney exceeds any other Disney Parks, and I've been to nearly all of them.

As for the itinerary, maybe consider putting Disney at the end of your trip. It would eliminate some of the travel back and forth since TDR is not far from Haneda airport.

If you have time, teamLab Planets is a great experience for the family.

That is a brutal itinerary for adults. Th jet lag is bad the first couple of days. Do you have a couple of lower key days before you start?
