Guess they will make the surrounding average teams into good teams like they have been doing. |

Considering the low level additions (and some mid level too, this isn't a knock) I would be pretty pissed as a club if I had to go and "prove" it in Aspire, considering clubs in the 600s have been added directly to GA.
Now if a club is lower than that? Absolutely. Let's also remember I am guessing that the GA is very conscious of the fact they completely bungled the first round of Aspire 2 years ago called GA Rising, with a big lack of transparency, promises they could not delivery on, etc so I am sure they are making sure everything is buttoned up before release this time around. At least they have (hopefully) learned from their past mistakes. |
i'd like to see why those clubs in the 600 got into GA directly, when i know for a fact clubs that are in Top 100, Top 150, Top 200 and Top 250 are getting denied in the Midwest. |
| It’s been decided, revolution reigns supreme |
At least one club is very intentionally going for bait and switch. Players have paid thinking they’re on GA but little do they know they’ll be Aspire. They’ll be told about this “surprise” that the club “couldn’t possibly have foreseen” at the beginning of the season when it’s too late for players to go anywhere else. Bait & switch is this club’s master playbook. This isn’t their first dance in material fraud and it won’t be their last. |
Does it rhyme with Ain't claims? |
| There is a club in NJ (I know we are not a NJ site) that gave conditional offer. If we do not get GA you have a spot on the A team. If we do get GA, you have a spot on the B team with a chance to try out for the A team. Not sure if that is a good thing (since you have no idea where you might play), but at least they are honest about it. |
| Has GA said anything about BY vs SY |
600s try 1000s. Go to the Soccer Rankings app, set the state to "USA" as a whole and type "GA" in the search and then scroll down. Really weak teams especially in Northern Cal, Oregon, washington. |
i agree, but why are these Midwest teams are that in the Top 200 getting denied every year from GA and ECNL and ECNL-RL. Gatekeeping is why i think. Clubs are keeping other clubs out. |
Not just Midwest. GA is in a business to make money, not have the best teams. Look what is about to happen in the new North Atlantic division. This is why I question Aspire. If they are not letting in the best teams now, why would they let in the ones that do the best in Aspire? |
Teams do no get into GA/ECNL. The entire club does. So they need to have teams performing at every age group U13-U19. Is that the case for these clubs that are getting denied? There is also plenty of politics at play where a strong club in a geographic area could block another from joining if they are closeby. |
Yes. A lot of people just mistakenly save team when they mean club. The rankings posted were the club rankings. |
If GA is in the business of making money, why not those clubs in? I don't see the rational of GA or ECNL-RL or ECNL keeping clubs out that are good size, have success and in most cases have better resumes ... certain areas they seem to be handing out spots like candy and other areas they seem to be holding back. |
Weak clubs tend to have weak teams that fall apart mid season. This can cause a regional league to blow up + the only resolution is to assign a bunch of forfeits. |
