I think they want our info because as Elon and others on the right have questioned: how can Federal workers afford to live in the million dollar homes in and around the DC area. They want answers.

The Haves don't like that he Have Nots have slowly climbed the ladder to be just under the official Haves tier.

They forget that most millennials are the children of boomers, who hold the most wealth. Boomers hold something like $78 trillion of the wealth. The economy back then created the perfect generational wealth scenario for my plain & average dick & jane boomer parents. That wealth trickled down, baby.

This isn't true. I know people IRL who are undocumented who use tax id numbers rather than social security numbers and pay federal taxes and social security taxes - the later despite not being eligible to ever receive the SS money they pay in. I have no idea the percentage of people working under the table to those using tax id numbers, but one of the many reasons that the IRS is not supposed to share info with any other government agencies without a warrant is that they want as many people as possible to pay taxes. This is bad news for revenue collection and will drive a lot of people to under the table pay. It will be a big loss for revenue collection.

Most illegals are absolutely not paying taxes. They are being paid cash under the table or requesting checks and cashing them at check cashing places. They also ask to be paid via PayPal, Venmo and cashapp. Only illegal immigrants who are employed and lying to their employer about their status are paying taxes which is far and few in between.
