If her recall is solid, this is easy to train. Have a helper knock/ring the doorbell, then call your dog to you. Treat when she gets to you, and walk back with her to the door, where she should sit, quietly, while you greet your "guest". Repeat until it sticks.

Don't open the door if she's barking, don't let her stay at the door barking; she needs to come to you.

NP. My tiny dog goes crazy when the doorbell rings. And she is an otherwise well trained dog. But people coming to the door makes her insane. We paid trainers to come every day to work with her on that and train her. They could not break her of the barking at the door.

FW to now, and I have to pick her up because she scares people. So now the doorbell rings and she runs to me to pick her up then barks. I know I'm doing it wrong, I just can't figure out how to get it to stop!

Mine too.. she's a great guard dog and our regular drivers know she's harmless. So, when someone is trying to sell me something I open the door and she goes wild at them and they leave quickly when I offer to open the door to speak to them.
