I use skin fx oil cleanser with a washcloth and then skin fx peptide cream. My skin is very fair and sensitive. No milia with this.

For moisturizer I use SkinCeuticals Emollience

One key to avoid milia is to warm your products in your hands to activate the ingredients/warm up anything that would clog your skin.

Respectfully, this makes no sense.

I was told to do this by a derm, so not sure what to tell you. Some of the products are very thick and will clog the pore for people prone to milia. Warming the products between your fingers first helps to reduce clogging oil glands, which is where milia form.

But your face is the same temperature as your hands.

By rubbing it between your fingers, you are warming it BEFORE it touches your skin, so it has time to break down a bit and not clog pores. Milia is formed from clogged oil glands. You are thinning the product before it hits your face. Its really not that complicated.

An oil cleaners should help with milia since it removes sebum, makeup and sunscreen.

Have you tried a liquid one?it could be just the Clinique one doesn't work for you. Also what other products are you using? You may need more of a retinol eye cream.

Wash your face FIRST, then use the micellar water.

Jesus christ, no. She needs something to remove the makeup first.

The face wash breaks up the mascara and makes it much easier to remove.

My skin has become very sensitive in the past couple of years (I am in my late 40s) and I use Cerave cleanser and Vanicream moisturizer. Both are very gentle.

Bioderm Sensibio cleansers are amazing. I use either their oil or micellar ones. I follow the cleanser with a warm wet gentle microfiber face towel. I then apply hyaluronic acid and either the Biossance retinol or Sisley moisturizer (I can’t use retinols daily as it worsens my sensitivity).

But if heating it up makes it non-clogging, how wouldn't your face heat it up just as much? It can't stay cold inside your pores.

I tried Bioderm Sensibio micellar and it does not come close to removing my makeup, not only does my eye makeup not budge (I use regular not waterproof mascara) but there is even lots of residue from my tinted moisturizer after cleansing with their micellar water. I honestly think it is one of the worst products I’ve tried.

I have very sensitive skin and after trying a lot of different products, I found Shiseido products that I love: Perfect Cleansing Oil, Clarifying Cleansing Foam, and Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream. Not cheap, but it's what ended up not irritating my skin after a lot of trial and error.

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we’re still talking about this but the simple answer is no. If you’re putting a very dense oil based product on your face, those clothes are going to get clogged. You break it down a little with heat before it’s on your face so we can absorb and not clog the pores. Obviously your face helps with this, but Not as much as doing it beforehand, and it reduces the risk of the clogged to pour. Do you have Amelia? Sounds like you may not understand how they form.

You need to double cleanse. First remove makeup with micellar water, then wash face with a gentle exfoliating cleanser. I like Cerave SA face wash. Slather on a nice moisturizer (I love Neutrogena Hydro Boost)
These are all very gentle and reasonably priced as well.
