The new Alara is pretty buzzy in Georgetown as is Ossetia Mozza. Or, try a place at Union Market.

I think Minetta is still uneven - needs some time a d hopefully works out the kinks. In Union Market, we have loved Pastis.


Thanks for the heads up- we are taking out of town guests there this weekend. I like Pastis but prefer the menu at Minetta!

Minetta has more of the red leather booth steakhouse feel. Pastis the more casual, busier, French Bistro feel.

Compass Rose and Zaytinya are where we usually take people from out of town.
