Fun DC restaurant for 2 couples

Friends visiting from out of town in 2 weeks. They love great food and a fun atmosphere. Lots of GF options if possible. Really wanted to take them to Maydan but I didn’t get on reservations fast enough. Thanks!

Maydan? Is it 2018 again? There are literally no "fun" or "exciting" restaurants to take a couple too since at least 2016. Do you want a low key strip club? Dc a d MD have a fair bunch. Otherwise, if you want to have an exciting night out in VA take them to Everest Momo Plus.

I haven’t been but Hells Kitchen Wharf has many GF options and is supposed to be entertaining. Supposedly overpriced though.

Put yourself on the notify list on Resy for La Shukrun or Minetta Tavern. Something will usually pop up. Can also try Ilili or Shoto if they still have availability.

I think Minetta is still uneven - needs some time a d hopefully works out the kinks. In Union Market, we have loved Pastis.
