When you've been married to someone for a realllllly long time you can read them like a book. Little changes started adding up. I didn't actually have physical proof. I just used my intuition and said "by the way, I know you're having an affair with [AP]" and of course he told me I was crazy but I stood my ground and said "You're too obvious." and finally he admitted. So satisfying. I knew that confrontation would end my marriage and it did. Trust your gut if you don't have physical evidence (that came later, actually) and don't be afraid to confront them. Unless you want a different outcome. I no longer wanted to be married to him and I was clear on that. If you aren't clear on it, do a lot of therapy. My therapy centers on why I chose to be with someone like him, not on what he did or didn't do. |
Social media, too...that's how my friend found out her dad had a whole other family. |

Bringing an AP into the marital home is the ultimate betrayal. Bastard was too cheap and disrespectful to get a hotel room? |

Looking through pictures on the family computer and noticed a large amount of selfies that had never been sent to me with facial expressions that wouldn’t make sense to send to anyone else but a love interest. Looked in deleted pictures and found the jackpot, AirDropped them to my phone, then emailed them to myself then on to another account and then I confronted.
A year and a half of anxiety and confusion came into focus in 20 seconds, the love drained from my body just as quickly. |
OMG. What were some of the things she was saying? |
Ughhhh. |
